Data Tables

In Resources > Data Tables, the organization creates its own tables, with columns and rows, to store data that the automations read and write: the orders created in a test, the document numbers generated by a robot, a list of customers to use in the runs.

:::note Plan Data Tables depend on the plan (not included in Basic). Without the feature, the screen shows that it is not available on the plan. :::

The tables

The list shows each table with its name, description, number of columns and creation date. Add creates a table, with the Table name (required) and the Description. The card icons edit and delete the table; deleting it also deletes all its columns and rows.

Clicking the card opens the table.

Columns

Manage columns (the icon in the toolbar) defines the structure:

  1. Type the Column name.
  2. Choose the type: Text, Number, Boolean, Date, Date/Time, Select, URL or JSON.
  3. Check Required, if needed, and use Add Column (or Enter).

Each column gets a Key, generated from the name, in lowercase, without accents and with _ in place of spaces: "Order Number" becomes order_number. The automation reads and writes the field by this key, and it does not change later.

In the column list, you can edit the name, the type and the required flag, delete a column and drag it to change the order. Changing the type does not convert the values already saved.

Rows

The Total, Today, This week and This month cards count the rows by creation date; clicking one of them filters the grid, and clicking it again shows all rows.

  • Add Row opens a field for each column, in the format of its type (a checkbox for Boolean, a date for Date, multi-line text for JSON). Required fields must be filled in.
  • Each row has Edit and Delete.
  • The grid has search, a filter per column and a choice of visible columns.
  • Export CSV downloads all the rows of the table, from newest to oldest.

Read and write from the automation

API Endpoints (the icon in the toolbar) shows the Execution API calls for the open table, with a sample body built from the columns and the Copy button:

CallWhat it does
POST /custom-table/{id}/rowAdds a row.
POST /custom-table/{id}/row/bulkAdds several rows at once, in { "rows": [ ... ] }.
GET /custom-table/{id}/rowLists the rows, from newest to oldest.
PUT /custom-table/{id}/row/{rowId}Updates a row.
DELETE /custom-table/{id}/row/{rowId}Deletes a row.

The paths are relative to the API address (https://app.protoncloud.com.br/api), and the row fields use the column keys.

  • When listing, filter[key]=value returns only the rows with that value, and sortBy=key&sortDir=asc (or desc) changes the order.
  • An update replaces the whole row: send all the fields, not just the ones that changed.
  • The API does not check required fields or column types: that is up to the automation.

Permissions and mobile

The screen has its own permissions in the profile: view, create (tables, columns and rows), edit and delete. An automation that uses the API needs the same permissions.

The screen is designed for a computer.
