Files

In Resources > Files, the team stores the supporting files for the automations, such as test data, document templates, spreadsheets and scripts, organized in folders. The screen is called File Storage.

Folders​

The left panel shows All files, Uncategorized (the files outside any folder) and the folder tree, each folder with its number of files (including subfolders). With more than 5 folders, the Search folders... search appears. The panel can be collapsed.

  • Create Folder asks for the Folder name and, optionally, an Icon (an emoji) and a Color.
  • In the folder menu (right-click or the three dots): Create Subfolder, Rename Folder and Delete Folder.
  • To move a folder, drag it onto another folder, or onto Uncategorized to bring it back to the top level.
  • When you delete a folder, its files go to Uncategorized. Its subfolders are deleted along with it, and their files also go to Uncategorized.

Choosing a folder shows its files and the files in its subfolders, with the path at the top ("All files › Folder › Subfolder").

Upload files​

Drag the files onto the Drag or click to upload files area, or use Add. You can upload several at once: the window shows each file with its size and upload progress.

  • The file goes into the folder selected in the panel. In All files or Uncategorized, it has no folder.
  • Each file can be up to 100 MB.
  • The file extension can have up to 4 letters (such as .json, .xlsx or .yaml).
  • Files with the same name do not replace each other: both are kept.

The files​

Each card shows the name, the extension, the folder, who uploaded it and when. The Search files... search looks up the name and the extension.

DeleteDeletes the file from storage, after you confirm.

To rename a file, upload it again with the right name and delete the old one.

Permissions and mobile​

The screen has its own permissions in the profile: view, create (folders and uploads), edit (move and rename folders, move files), download and delete.

The screen is designed for a computer.
