Navigating the portal

The menu on the left groups the screens by topic: Home, Insights, Automations, Operation, Processes, Resources, Access & Teams, Runners, Settings, Financial, and Help. What each group contains is described in the introduction.

  • The menu can be collapsed. When it is collapsed, the items in each group appear when you hover over the group.
  • At the bottom of the menu are your card (which opens My Profile), the Tier (the organization's plan), and the Proton version, which opens What's new.
  • The Operation group only appears when the organization has the RPA module.

The menu shows every screen in the plan. If your profile doesn't have permission for a screen, the screen opens with a notice that you don't have access.

What's new

Right after you sign in, Proton shows the featured updates you haven't seen yet, one at a time. Got it closes each one, and it doesn't appear again. All updates are in Help > What's new, with search and a filter by type (New, Improvement, Fix). The counter in the menu shows the ones you haven't read yet.

Help also has Proton Docs (this documentation), the Proton Runner page, with the versions and the installers, and Proton Support.

On your phone

The portal works on mobile phones, with the menu under the button at the top. The screens adapted for phones are the ones for keeping up with day-to-day work:

  • Home;
  • Automation Center, the group metrics, and Schedule;
  • the runs of a dataset and the run details;
  • the automation document;
  • Log search, Traceability, and Exceptions;
  • My Profile, What's new, and Proton Runner.

The other screens show the notice This screen works best on a computer, with options to go back to Home or open the screen anyway.
