Accessing Proton

The Proton portal is at app.protoncloud.com.br.

First access

Whoever administers Proton at your company registers you in Access & Teams > Username. You get an invitation email with the link to create your password:

  1. Open the invitation link. It is valid for 48 hours and can be used once.
  2. In Set up your account, create your password: at least 8 characters, with letters and numbers.
  3. Click Set Up Account and sign in with your email and your new password.

If the link has expired, ask whoever administers Proton for a new invitation.

  1. Enter your Email (or your username) and your Password and click Sign In.
  2. If two-factor authentication is turned on, type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
  3. If you belong to more than one organization, choose which one to sign in to. If you arrived through a link from someone else, the link's organization is already selected.
  4. If there are new terms of use or a new privacy policy, read and accept each document to continue.

After that, Proton opens Home, or the page from the link you opened.

Switch organizations

You choose the organization when you sign in. To use another one, log out (Log out, in the header) and sign in again, choosing the other organization. When you open a link to a group or a run from another organization, Proton offers to switch: Switch to (organization).

Forgot your password

  1. On the login screen, click Forgot password?.
  2. Enter your email and click Send link.
  3. Open the link in the email and create your new password. The link is valid for 15 minutes and can be used once.

For security, the screen responds the same way for any email: if yours is registered, the link will arrive.

Access security

  • Wrong password: after 10 wrong attempts within 15 minutes, access is blocked until that window passes. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or use Forgot password?.
  • Wrong 2FA code: after 5 wrong codes in a row, the account is deactivated. Ask whoever administers Proton to reactivate it.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication in My Profile.
