Log search

In Insights > Log search, you can find a log line across all runs: an error message, a code, a document number. You can also find the run from a Correlation ID seen in another system's log.

The search does not depend on the AI module and works on phones.

Search

  • Text: part of the line, up to 200 characters. The matching parts are highlighted.
  • Level: Warnings and errors (the default), Errors only, or All. To search all levels, type some text.
  • Period: up to 31 days. If you don't pick one, the last 7 days.
  • Automation: all or one.
  • Lens: All, Quality, or Operation, when the organization has both modules.

The results list the lines from newest to oldest: when, the line with its level, the automation, the dataset and step, the purpose and group, and the run, with the end reason when it did not pass. Clicking a line opens the run.

Find the run by Correlation ID

Every run has a Correlation ID, which goes along with every call the automation makes to Proton and to other systems. Paste the id into the search, in one of these formats:

  • the UUID, with or without hyphens;
  • the 32-character trace-id;
  • the whole traceparent header.

Once the format is recognized, the Run with this Correlation ID card appears, with Open the run. A run's Correlation ID is under Technical details in the run details.

Permissions

Requires permission to view runs. The search only returns lines from automations you can see under the team rule.
